The Temple has Arrived. It is Here, Blossoming and Dancing toward the Heavens.

Finally, what began as a mummer and dream, is presenting itself to the world. I facilitated the biofeedback aspect of the Cosmic Sensorium event, and helped dozens of fellow adventurers experience greater coherence of heart and breath, for new awareness and presence of being. Best of all, I filled my role with ease, and it came straight from the heart. I feel the utmost joy for this realized opportunity, and tremendous gratitude for the beautiful beings who made it come alive.

It was powerful and evolutionary, but there is much more to come!

Bio for My New Job at Sera Phi in San Francisco

Tom Jenks has been intensely exploring and researching shamanism since 2007, by engaging reality and learning from direct experience of the mysteries. He has read over 80 books on topics such as non-dualism, mysticism, Zen, entheogens, the Mayan Calendar, transpersonal and Integral psychology, chaos magick, quantum theory, contemporary shamanism, and 2012. Tom’s path of awakening has lead him deep into the solitary pursuits of meditation and contemplation in nature, as well as into ongoing visionary collaboration with the Burning Man community since 2008. He has delved into many neoshamanic technologies, such as audiovisual brainwave entrainment with mind machines, Random Event Generators, floatation tanks, and biofeedback devices, however ancient technologies like the drum, rattle, visual art, ritual and ceremony, have not escaped his wide ranging interests.

In March of 2011, Tom was generously gifted the resources to travel across the country, from Maine to California, to participate in the many neotribal, trance music and visionary art festivals, where he has connected with peers and elders, and learned more than he could have imagined. He continues to connect with the many creative and shamanic communities in the San Francisco Bay Area, and constantly finds new ways to collaborate on exciting new projects.

Tom’s passion is to create the most interactive, immersive, and mind-manifesting environments as possible, to unveil the world of the psyche, and open awareness to novel information. He believes that with technology such as biofeedback, which projects the processes of mind, onto the seemingly outside world, one can experience the dissolution of the apparent boundaries between self and other, mind and matter. These mind-manifesting experiences and reveal-ations have been crucial in catalyzing his understanding of reality as the creation of one divine being, remembering it’s eternal essence, through myriad forms and experiences.

As a shamanic practitioner at Sera Phi, Tom adds his unique gifts to the already potent mix of conscious collaborators and visionary healers. He offers biofeedback training with high-definition projectors and vibrational sound healing, to strengthen Heart Coherence through breathing techniques and heart centered emotion. After completing a 2 week healing intensive in core shamanism in March, Tom is also keen to help fellow explorers connect with guides, and the hidden intelligence within, through shamanic drum journeys. The Tuning Temple Finds Sacred Space at Sera Phi in San Francisco!

Auspicious beginnings, colorful opportunities...

I've miraculously connected with the multi-dimensional and visionary sound healing space called Sera Phi, at 1117 Howard Street, in downtown San Francisco. I'm blessed to be working on these projects, of creating immersive and interactive environments for shamanic sound healing, by integrating biofeedback projections, vibrating sound beds, empowering art, and other synasthetic, mind-manifesting technologies like cymatics devices and Random Event Generators.

Sera Phi is a unique venue, bursting with consciousness technology that enlivens the heart, mind, and spirit. It is a place where our attention to being, our presence of awareness in this moment, and our joy for the adventure of creation, shine forth in all that we do. As modern shamanic practitioners, we are driven by the timeless quest for the most powerful tools and techniques, to guide fellow adventurers on the most trance-formative journeys, into the depths of our own Being, to reconnect with the eternal Source, Light, and creative the Spirit within. It is our hope that these visionary experiences will spark a new freedom, awaken a new joy, and empower us all, to step forth onto the mythic canvas of life, and gracefully embody the essence and fullness of our Being.

We find that presenting spaces for interaction, play, and dynamic challenge, leads to unique creative opportunities for exercising new found abilities of communication, resulting in profoundly meaningful, shared experiences of understanding. In certain shamanic environments, the normal boundaries of self and other, can be relaxed into a shared "we space," where costumes are interchangeable, and where different characters easily find new expression, and new freedom, by intuitively adding their novel insights to the story.

 By participating in epic dramas and mythic tales, we unlock our unique gifts for the world, and push the acceleration of novelty and trance-formation ever faster, to unveil worlds yet unseen, and gaze upon radiant vistas of mind, echoing across the pages of our lives, unfolding eternity through time.

Bhakti Fest Set up, Photos, Future

I was overwhelmed with volunteering and the desert heat, so the temple was not in full form, but I put on some final touches and enjoyed the deeply spiritual gathering. I tested out the original vibroacoustic chairs, and finally mounted some projectors in the center peak. This week at Yosemite, I will be recording some guided shamanic journeys, meditations and ceremonies, for later use in the Tuning Temple Experience. I also now have postcards with a short temple intro and space to visually express your experience inside, and send it to someone you love!

This work is a process, with moments of joy and exhilaration, but also a bit of uncertainty and anxiety about how it'll all come together be what it is destined to be - a powerfully interactive, visionary experience.

New Video, a Concise Description and Preparing for the First Festival!

The temple is an immersive sacred space that uses audio, visual, and tactile biofeedback, with powerful brainwave entrainment and an original cymatics display, to create a literally psyche-delic, mind-manifesting experience. It integrates ancient shamanic practices, with cutting edge consciousness technology, to facilitate heighted coherence, and awareness of that still-point of peace and power inside.

I plan to give out cards with this description, and let participants draw their experiences on it, with the option of sending it as a postcard to others interested!

Tuning Temple: Purpose, Experience, and Message

The purpose is to reconnect with the ground of being, both by journeying inward to the spirit world, and by experiencing one's biofeedback and mind in the seemingly outside world. The process lets one connect with the deep Self, see their thoughts manifest in the world, and thus gain an appreciation for conscious action and the sacred quality of all things. It is to empower the imagination, reveal the world as consciousness, and experience the ecstatic joy of being in this moment.

This temple uses biofeedback in the form of audio, visual, and tactile information responses in the environment, that oscillate and pulse to one's thoughts, emotions, and inner experience. The feedback quickly enables a deep meditative state, profound realizations of how one's thoughts influence the world, and it gives the opportunity to consciously engage otherwise subconscious processes and patterns.

The message is also conveyed by the sense of ceremony, of sacred art, and ritual guidance that one steps into. The imagination is engaged, the visionary faculties awakened, and the adventure comes alive, when guided with the help of shamanic sound and brainwave entrainment. It is a fine tuned environment for conscious exploration of the mind.

The five high definition projectors, multiple speakers for each person's biofeedback, a cymatics device glowing and pulsing to one's own voice, and the soothing vibrations under one's chair, all converge for a dynamic adventure into heart of the mystery. The entire environment can be a collaborative projection of each of the 4 participants. It is up to the individual and the group, to find the space of coherence and peace within, of deep meditative relaxation, to create the most beautiful patterns and sounds in the environment.

First Look at the NeoShamanic Tuning Temple!

The long awaited Tuning Temple is miraculously manifesting from the dreamtime depths of my mind! The structure slowly took form, after consulting helping spirits in drum journeys, gaining from synchronistic discussions with fellow researchers, and after mysterious bouts of inspiration from brainwave entrainment sessions, it's finally in full form... well, almost. I've posted two new videos on youtube, laying out the vision and testing some biofeedback -- a combined Galvanic Skin Response meter, Heart Rate Variance monitor, and Heart Beat monitor, relays data to the Mind Workstation program, and sends it to the projectors, speakers, and 4 tactile transducers mounted on the floating floor of the temple.

The more information and feedback we get -- audio, visual, tactile -- the more we become aware of our thoughts, emotions, minds, bodies, and our effect on the seemingly outside world. This is the essential teaching I have gained from psychedelics -- that they let us see past our ego and normal perceptions that put things into hard categories (inside and outside) and instead let us see the manifestations of our mind on the world, and ultimately the world AS a manifestation of MIND. This is the final REVEAL-ation at the end of the age -- that matter is simply mind in disguise.

In this sense, I have attempted to create an environment that is literally psychedelic, where participants are enveloped in the contents and processes of their minds. The element that takes it all one giant step further, is the Random Event Generator. Numerous studies have proven that consciousness significantly affects the outcomes of these devices. The more the outcomes deviate from expected chance, the more it reveals the coherence of the field of consciousness around it. I'm presently trying to convert this data into visual and auditory feedback, so the temple space will reflect changes in subtle energy and group coherence. Feedback like this could be tremendously helpful in seeing what kind of entrainment or ritual practices, are truly effective at producing Gnosis, heightened awareness, and focused intent. This meditative power could be used for healing the earth, encouraging other trance-formative causes and projects, or propelling the imagination of humanity to dream up novel solutions.

This is what this time of crisis and transition is letting us see -- the imaginative solutions within non-ordinary states, waiting to be realized on earth. I hope this temple will let each of us see and know the power of the mind, to access the creativity and divine inspiration within, and help it manifest heaven on earth. There is a beautiful, magical world out there; I've seen it in my visions, and it's just a few timewaves, and one raging hyperdimension away. It is my hope that as I have brought forth this vision into reality, so too can others enter this temple, connect with the source within, see the power of the mind, and feed novelty back upon itself -- driving evolution and awakening ever faster, through the eye of the spiral, to infinity.
